Park homes are single storey and manufactured off site before being moved onto their plot and then connected to utilities. In terms of design and layout they are most comparible to a modern bungalow.
Park homes are built at their manufacturer’s site. They have a steel chassis with a timber frame. They are built to stringent standards and include high quality insulation and sound proofing as well as double glazing and central heating.
Typically a park home chassis is made of steel which is then clad with timber, insulation materials and finished with plasterboard. There are tight regulations governing the quality and strength of materials to ensure high quality results.
It’s true that the majority of our residents are retired. However residents are welcome from the age of 45. Our communities are child free – though children are of course welcome to visit.
Our park homes are designed for comfortable living, they feature adjacent parking spaces, private gardens and ample storage. You will also be joining a peaceful community of residents in a park with great local links.
If your park home is your main residence, you are responsible for paying Council Tax. If you live alone, a 25 per cent discount applies. Water/sewerage is included within the ground rent. Other utilities are payable separately.
As our park home sales are primarily cash purchases it’s not a necessity to undergo a survey. However should you wish to do for peace of mind then that’s not a problem.
